Tuff Stuff brand horse fence vs. Vinyl or HDPE (High density polyethylene.) vs. PVC (poly vinyl chloride) Both have been available for about 30 years and both have a great track record for longevity and superior performance for animal containment.We’ve been featuring them both for about 25 years. There has been a steady movement away from vinyl toward our Tuff-Stuff brand Horse Fence for the last few years and these are some of the reasons our customers have given for their choice:
1. Tuff Stuff brand horse fence rails and Posts are much thicker than vinyl by almost 4 to 5 times.
2. The color goes all the way through and won’t scratch off. Our black fence is black all the way through and not just a layer of color on top.
3. Tuff Stuff horse fence is all made in America, not in a foreign county so there are no Tariffs to pay
4. Tuff -Stuff horse fence colors simply do not fade or change over time.
5. The finish is not smooth and glossy/ shiny but satin with a slightly grainy texture.

* Our price per foot includes posts, caps, rails and all the pickets, picket caps and stainless steel fasteners (galvenized steel inserts on selected styles). When comparing prices with our competitors, be sure that ALL componenets are included.

Specifications

NOTE: Our rails are 16 ft. ( 191 ½ “) long and the posts are set at 8 ft. on center which means each 16 ft. section has two posts and caps included in price. When installing the rails, we suggest that for the first section only, a 16 ft. rail be cut in two and used as the middle rail on a 3 rail fence or 2nd and 4th rail on 4 rail. Thereafter use all 16 ft. rails This serves to make the installation stronger since the rails all terminate on alternating posts.
