Just had an interesting experience in trying to replace a few broken rails for a neighbors vinyl horse fence. Actually It's only a two rail and used for yard décor. He says he thinks it was bought from Home Depot about 6 years ago. I went to Home Depot and found that their current vinyl horse fence rail would not fit in the existing posts. Home Depot had changed the supplier of their vinyl fence material and the old one and their new horse fence were not interchangeable. The size of the profile had been changed. This means that anyone trying to replace a rail or a post of their old fence could not get replacement parts from the store they bought their fence from. I checked with Lowes and they had changed their profile too to one that didn't fit. This can be a problem when dealing with the big box stores. When they decide to change suppliers of their vinyl fencing they could be getting it from China, Russia or anyplace that gives them the best price at that time but it does not have to be the same specification as I understand it. In fact it seems that both Home Depot and Lowes has gone with a profile that is non standard dimensionally so that their materials are not interchangeable with other manufactures although they are ironically interchangeable with each other.
If someone bought a vinyl horse fence from us 15 or 16 years ago they can still get the exact same size, shape and quality as when it was new. We guarantee it!
